The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation is pleased to be collaborating with Jamestown Community College, the Jamestown Bar Association and Robert H. Jackson Center Inn of Court in sponsoring a seminar offered this fall through “The People’s Law School.” The seminar is entitled:  “Elder Law; Will, Trusts and Estates.”   This free seminar is scheduled for October 20^th, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. at the Carnahan Center Theater.

 

Do not let the state or a court decide how your property is to be inherited, who will be appointed guardian of your minor children or how you are to be medically treated if ever you become unable to make those decisions. 

 

Contrary to popular belief, estate planning involves much more than preparing a will and it is not only for the rich and famous. Learn how by estate planning through a properly drawn will, living will, a health care proxy and power of attorney that you can make many decisions regarding your care in the event of a terminal illness and even decide who inherits your property and the process involved in the settlement of your estate.
