The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation celebrated the "Good Things In The Community" with displays featuring local agencies and activities, with over 30 non-profit agencies participating.  Tyler Swanson, president of the board of directors, welcomed the group of over 100 persons in the Williamsburg Ballroom.

Christine Meyers, scholarship recipient, spoke on the financial help she received from the foundation and its importance to her.  Helen Clark and Barbara Josephson, volunteers at the foundation, were honored.

John D. Hamilton and Kenneth Strickler spoke about Francis B. Grow, a founder, previous executive director and former member of the investment committee of the Community Foundation, and this year's recipient of the John D. Hamilton Community Service Award.

Grow spoke on the generosity of the Chautauqua Region, and how local foundations annually return millions of dollars to the area.

The Community Foundation has given over $2.5 million in scholarships along with an equal amount in grants.
