Special Scholarship Applications

Sometimes when a memorial scholarship is being established, the family or organization setting up the fund identifies a specific or unique criterion.  To accommodate a special talent or interest, the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation offers several scholarship funds that require separate applications and processes. Below you will find a list of those special scholarships.

Brenda L. Morrow Memorial Scholarship Fund: To assist students 15-18 years of age participating in an exchange program to a foreign country.  Deadline: April 20th

Kiwanis Club of Lakewood/Paul R. Johnson Scholarship Fund: To assist a graduating high school senior(s) from Panama and Southwestern Central High Schools with a "B" (3.0) or better G.P.A., involved in community service, with a priority to Key Club members. Deadline:  April 27th

Chautauqua County Veterinary Medical Society: To assist graduates of Chautauqua County schools who are pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.  Applicants must be enrolled in a veterinary college.  Deadline: May 1

Ben Spitale Memorial Labor Scholarship Fund: To assist an ambitious and industrious undergraduate student who has a sense of community and who is a member of the Jamestown Area Labor Council or has a parent or guardian who is in good standing of a union in Jamestown Area Labor Council.    Deadline: May 1

Robert "Bobby" Guy Pollino II Memorial Scholarship Fund (Baseball):  To assist a  Jamestown High School senior who is a member of the Varsity baseball team. Deadline: May 15

Kathy Kardish Wilson Memorial Educational Fund:    To assist a married working women who is civic-minded.  Deadline: May 25

Jamestown Sister Cities Affiliation Committee Scholarship Fund in Memory of Margaret Hitchcock:    To assist students or teachers who are planning educational experiences abroad or to foreign students or teachers coming to our area for educational reasons.  Students must be from the Chautauqua Region or coming to this region for training. Deadline:  June 1

Read the scholarship criteria carefully to determine whether you qualify.  Some of these scholarships hold unique opportunities for those looking to pursue a non-traditional experience. All of the above scholarships can be found on the Foundation's website at: www.crcfonline.org under" special scholarship applications."  Applications can also be picked up at the Foundation's office at 418 Spring Street, Jamestown. The submission of each application and its deadline date varies, so follow the directions carefully.
