In 1978 the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation was established as an endowment fund serving the Chautauqua Region. Income from its funds was to be used to support worthwhile educational, social, cultural and civic projects, which met criteria established by its donors and the Board of Directors.
Founding members pledged to make certain that the ever-changing needs of the community would be served with flexibility, impartiality and thoughtful consideration...
