Golf For The Community

As we look forward to the break in the weather, with the soft breezes of spring bringing warmer temperatures our way, thoughts of a day out on the golf course seem to drift our way.  Each year, the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation swings into summer with its annual golf tournament.  We invite you to join us.  It is a fun filled day of challenging golf, delicious food, prizes and comradery – all for the good of our community.
 
On Monday, May 24th, the Foundation will officially kick-off their golf tournament at Moon Brook Country Club with an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start.  This will be the Foundation’s 13th annual golf tournament. The tournament’s purpose is to raise money for the Community Service Funds administered by the Foundation.  Last year, this event raised over $13,000 to provide much needed assistance to a number of local charitable projects and organizations.  The tournament has raised, since its inception, over $150,000. Proceeds from this golf tournament are reinvested into the community for projects that address arts/culture, economic development, education, environment, health, human services and neighborhood revitalization. 

If you would like to join this spring tradition, there are a number of ways to do so.  First, you can sign up as an individual player or you can register your hand-picked set of ringers to create your team. 
Secondly, while player participation is a key aspect of this tournament, so are sponsors. You or your business can be a sponsor of the tournament.  There are several levels of sponsorships ranging from a fee of $1,000 to $150. 
• Platinum:  includes signage and a foursome
• Gold: includes signage and two players
• Silver: includes signage and one player
• Practice Green: signage
Thirdly, you may want to donate a service or an item of interest as a prize.

You don’t need to be a golfer to support this event.  No matter what level of participation, your support of the Foundation’s tournament is welcomed and appreciated.  

The Board of Directors and staff would like to express our appreciation to: Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro, P.C.; Vineyard Group, LLC; Courier Capital Corporation; and Jamestown Savings Bank.  These organizations are year-round sponsors of the Foundation whose sponsorship includes the support of our golf tournament.
