14th Annual Community Foundation Golf Tournament Set For May 23
Thursday, April 28, 2011
Warmer weather is arriving, and the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation is busily preparing for its 14th Annual Community Foundation Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held at Moon Brook Country Club on Monday, May 23rd.
The tournament's purpose is to raise monies for the Community Foundation's Community Service funds, which means all proceeds will go directly back to the community. Last year's tournament raised approximately $16,000 for the funds.
This year, Community Service grants will provide $247,000 in assistance to a number of charitable projects and organizations in the area.
Showing their support for the Foundation year-round and at this event are the three main sponsors: Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro, P.C. / Vineyard Group, LLC, Jamestown Savings Bank, and Courier Capital Corporation, all of Jamestown.
The tournament format is a best two out of four balls and will have a shotgun start at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served on the course and dinner will follow in the clubhouse.
There is still time for players to signup, and all entry and sponsorship forms can be obtained by calling the Foundation office at (716) 661-3390 or by visiting
www.crcfonline.org
. Deadline to register is May 16th, so get your registration form in today!
