Group Honoring Veterans Looks to Community Foundation as Home of New Fund
Friday, October 07, 2011
Paying tribute to the men and women who have served in our military is something we can all stand behind. That is why the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation has agreed to host a new fund that will collect monies raised to erect an Honor Roll for Clymer, French Creek, and Mina veterans.
By recording the names of the men and women from their community who have participated in the military, the Clymer, French Creek, and Mina Honor Roll for Veterans Committee hopes to recognize their contributions to the region and the nation.
The new Veterans Honor Roll Non-Endowed Fund provides a method for area residents or businesses to make a charitable donation to this community betterment project. The Community Foundation ensures the money distributed from the Fund is used solely for the purpose intended.
Officials with the Clymer, French Creek, and Mina Honor Roll for Veterans Committee plan to erect the marker in the Clymer School District by Veteran's Day, 2012.
If you are interested in making a donation to the Clymer Central School Veterans Honor Roll Non-Endowed Fund, you can visit the Community Foundation's website at
www.crcfonline.org
and click on the "Donate Now" section. You may also send a contribution to the Community Foundation at 418 Spring Street, Jamestown, NY 14701.
