Scholarship Applications

Important Things to Note

2008-2009 Scholarship Season is now closed.  Applicants will be notified in late November regarding the status of their application.

2009-2010 Scholarship Applications will be available March 1, 2009.

A student needs to complete only ONE application to be eligible for all available scholarships.

Once the application is finished, the student must also sign and print  the Financial Aid Release. Once this is done, this form must be sent to the student's college/university financial aid office.  After the college/university fills out the Financial Aid Report, it must be returned to the Community Foundation.

High school graduates attending college for the first time must also fill out the High School Information Release form, print it and provide a signed copy to their guidance counselor.

Returning College Students must provide an official transcript from their college/university.  Please forward official transcripts to CRCF at 418 Spring Street, Jamestown, NY  14701.

Links to all these forms are below as well as to the upper right.

Apply Online

Please use our online scholarship application form. Note that you can begin an application and return to complete it later. We will not process an incomplete form,  so if you save it, you must return later to complete and submit it before we can consider it. After you have submitted your form, please watch your email for automated responses. Always return to this page and use the following links to initiate or complete your application. These forms are secure and require you to register with our site. Please include your address and phone number when registering. Some of your information is repeated from form to form, and this will be pulled from your registration profile so you don't have to enter it manually more than once.  Be sure to complete all information.
Example:  Volunteer hours and total hours worked per week!

The scholarship application is organized into five steps, or pages. Feel free to preview each step prior to beginning the application process, so you know what kind of information is being requested. The more complete and accurate the information you provide, the better we will be able to assist you in locating scholarships available to you.

Please Note: On the fourth page of the form, you will be requeseted to provide a short essay of no more than 200 words. You are strongly urged not to write this online. Instead, take some time to write it well offline. Spellcheck it and correct grammar and other errors. You want to present yourself in the best possible light. Trying to write the essay while filling out this form is probably not going to give you the time you need to do that.

You can begin to fill out the following form, and instead of submitting it, save it and return later to complete and submit it. It will not, however, be reviewed for processing and approval until submitted. The save and submit buttons are on each page except the first. Please take care not to use those controls to navigate between pages; submit or save only when you are done with your current session.

We administer a number of scholarships. You do not have to apply for any of them individually. Our online form gathers information which will allow us to submit your request for all appropriate scholarships.

The first thing you must do is let us know whether you are attending college for the first time, or are a returning college student. Give the form an opportunity to build itself after you make your selection, and then proceed!
