The following timeline will help you understand the Community Foundation scholarship process:
October
- Annual Scholarship EXPO at Jamestown Community College.
January-May
- Students review Scholarship Survey for scholarships offered at their individual high schools and investigate other opportunities with their Guidance Department.
- Complete FAFSA form and mail.
- Complete College Financial Aid Report and forward to college for completion and eventual submission to the Community Foundation.
- Other miscellaneous Community Foundation scholarship applications come due.
- Begin the Community Foundation application process.
June 1st
- High School scholarship applications, college financial aid reports, and high school transcripts are due at the Community Foundation.
July 15th
- College scholarship applications, college financial aid reports, and college transcripts are due at the Community Foundation.
September/October
- Community Foundation staff enters application data and prepares material for selection committees.
- Selection committees meet and determine recipients.
November
- All applicants are notified of the results of their application.
December
- Letters of enrollment for second semester are due.
January
- PAYMENT TO STUDENTS FOR SECOND SEMESTER EXPENSES.
