Enriching the Quality of Life in the Chautauqua Region
The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation is a nonprofit, community corporation that serves the charitable purpose of benefiting the people of the community it serves. It was created by and for the people of the Chautauqua region to help donors make a positive impact on their community by establishing a “bridge” between the donor and charitable activities.
In 2020, the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation invested $4,241,184 back into the community in the form of grants and scholarships.
Nearly 800 local students received $1.3 million for costs related to higher education and area nonprofit organizations received $1.9 million through the Foundation’s Strategic Projects, Community Service, and General grants processes.
Over $970,000 was awarded directly to 129 nonprofit and religious organizations through the Foundation’s designated and agency funds to provide ongoing support for their missions.
At the end of 2020, the Foundation’s asset level was $122.6 million.
