Chi Sig was one of several fraternity organizations at Jamestown High School. Founded in 1926, members would often attend the Boys & Girls Club after school. When the fraternity dissolved in 1975, past members wanted to give back to the organization and created the Chi Sig Remembrance Fund at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation to provide funding for the Club’s community youth programs.
This year, the Hourglass Club of Chi Sig, made an additional contribution to provide funding for summer activities.
The fraternity’s annual picnic will be August 6, from 4-8 pm, at the Vikings Summer Home on Chautauqua Lake, hosted by the Hourglass Club. Past fraternity brothers and their families are encouraged to attend and bring a dish to pass; proceeds will benefit the Remembrance Fund.
