A local Farmers Market is taking on new heights next season.
The Sherman Rebuilding Committee recently purchased a banner to hang over the streets of downtown Sherman to announce activities associated with their annual Farmers Market.
A grant from the C. Malcolm and Jeanette M. Nichols Community Service Fund, administered by the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, assisted in purchasing the banner which was made by Hanson Sign Company.
According to Georgia Peck, Sherman Rebuilding Committee member, the committee wanted a banner to encourage community members and tourists to take part in events on Main Street. “The Sherman Rebuilding Committee was excited to receive the grant from the Community Foundation and looks forward to increasing the success of the Farmers Market next season,” Peck said.
The Farmers Market runs Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
