The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation is now accepting applications for the Falconer Region Community Fund. Applications are due April 15 and can be completed on chautauquagrants.org.
Applicants must either be a non-profit organization, church or public entity. All organizations must be located within the Falconer Central School District to be considered. Grants may be awarded to religious or nonreligious organizations. Grants will not be awarded for political purposes or to retire indebtedness of an organization.
Applications will be reviewed by a committee of residents from Ellington, Kennedy and Falconer. Final awards will be approved by the Community Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Last year, $5,000 was awarded to four local organizations to support a number of community projects and initiatives.
Established in 2012 by a group of residents concerned with the future of charitable activity in the region, the Falconer Region Community Fund will benefit a wide variety of projects and needs. This is the first time money will be awarded from this fund.
