Kristopher R. Stearns

Our beloved son, Kristopher Richard Stearns, 32, of Kennedy, passed away Saturday (Feb. 25, 2017).

He was born Oct. 17, 1984, in Jamestown the son of Karen DeBell (Mark Cobb) and Raymond Stearns (Ann Bloomquist), all of Kennedy.

Kristopher attended Falconer Central School and was currently employed at Armor Construction in Falconer.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and snowboarding. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends.

Sadly, Kristopher battled the demons of addiction for years. He is now released from his pains and struggles and is at peace.

Besides his parents, Kristopher is survived by his sister, Katie Santangelo of Gerry; his brother, Kevin (Jessica) Stearns of Kenai, Alaska; his beloved niece, Gia Santagelo of Gerry; and his brother-in-law, Christian Santangelo. The siblings were very close and were looking forward to being reunited in March for the first time in three years. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Rick (Debbie) Stearns, Jerry (Pam) Stearns, Elaine (Grant) King, Marshall (Denise) Stearns, Marsha (Al) Anderson and Shari (Rick) Reed; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grand parents, Richard and Lorraine DeBell; and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Onolee Stearns.

With Kristopher’s passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. He will forever remain in our hearts.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to the funeral service Sunday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Pastor Cameron Lienhart of Conduit Ministries will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the Alex George Gregory Foulk Memorial Fund.

Condolence messages to the family can be made online at Falconer Funeral Home.
