Nilla, a Pre-K student at M.J. Fletcher Elementary School in Jamestown, recites “Arbor Day” by Kate Louise Brown during the tree planting ceremony on May 29, 2013. The city of Jamestown, with help from Fletcher students, planted five trees on Cole and Myrtle Streets near the school. For the past six years, The Fund for the Region has helped the City plant over 350 trees in Jamestown’s school neighborhoods.
Thank you to all of the students, parents and teachers at Fletcher for hosting such a wonderful event. A special thank you to Dan Stone, City Arborist, and his team who helped the students plant the trees and keep our city beautiful.
