Conewango Valley Kennel Club Establishes Scholarship
The Conewango Valley Kennel Club has established the Conewango Valley Kennel Club Scholarship at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation to support local students as a way to give back and build a future workforce.
The scholarship will provide financial assistance to graduates of Chautauqua County high schools or Randolph Central School District who are pursuing an animal science or agricultural major.
“We love working with donors who listen to the needs of the community and match their interests with those needs,” said Tina Downey, Development Officer. “Through this fund, the Conewango Valley Kennel Club will invest in the next generation to strengthen our region.
“The main mission of the AKC is supporting canine welfare and husbandry, and we agree with this mission. Students who are passionate about working with animals and in agriculture are a natural extension of who we are as an organization,” said Rich Myers, President of the Conewango Valley Kennel Club. “By establishing this scholarship, we hope to help remove financial barriers and encourage young people to pursue careers that promote animal health, responsible practices, and long-term sustainability in an underserved industry in the greater Chautauqua Region.”
Scholarships administered by the Foundation help connect donors’ values with educational opportunities that make a lasting impact. The Conewango Valley Kennel Club Scholarship reflects the organization’s longstanding commitment to animal welfare, education, and community engagement.
Organizations, families, and individuals interested in establishing scholarship funds that support local students are encouraged to contact the Foundation to learn more.
