The Lucille Ball Little Theatre of Jamestown recently raffled off a basket and held a special raffle for the sentry tower used on stage in the play A Few Good Men, all for the Lance Corporal Aaron M. Swanson Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Aaron Swanson, a 2007 Southwestern graduate, was killed by a roadside bomb February 7, 2011 in Afghanistan while serving with the U.S. Marine Corps. The fund in his honor is administered by the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.
David Howard worked closely with the Swanson family as the idea to hold the two fundraisers went from the planning stage to the final stage.
The tower that was raffled off was built by Wayne Buvoltz and Norm Merrill.
The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation and the Lucille Ball Little Theatre of Jamestown wish to thank everyone who made the two raffles a big success!
