Let Space Camp turn your dreams of space into an unforgettable experience
Dreaming of becoming an astronaut? Fascinated by rockets, Mars missions, or the mysteries of outer space? The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation invites area students to turn those dreams into an unforgettable experience at Space Camp. Through the Lucile M. Wright Air Museum Scholarship Fund, local students in grades 4–12 and adults of all ages have the chance to attend Space Camp, a hands-on program where participants train like real astronauts.
For many local students, the experience has been truly life-changing—sparking new interests, inspiring future careers in science and technology, and fueling a lifelong curiosity for the world beyond Earth.
Past attendees have taken part in:
Team missions that simulate space shuttle launches and Mars Landings
Interactive experiments in physics, coding, and engineering
Virtual reality challenges exploring microgravity and rocket design
Conversations with astronauts and NASA professionals
Space Camp eligibility requirements
Student applicants must have a B average or higher in math and science
Demonstrate an interest in space travel, aeronautics, or science
Possess a basic understanding of the Solar System
